10/09/23 ... but the day is topped by the amazing Fantastic Moon winning the Prix Niel, Gr.2

What a journey the breeders GRAF UND GRÄFIN STAUFFENBERG and all at SCHLOSSGUT ITLINGEN and STAUFFENBERG BLOODSTOCK have with the 3yo colt FANTASTIC MOON (Sea the Moon-FRANGIPANI). Today the colt took us for the main Arc Trials to Longchamp, the racecourse where his breeders had one of their most remarkable successes, when LADY MARIAN won the Prix de l'Opera, Gr.1 on Arc day. Could they probably cheer their German Derbywinner home  for the big race itself? Dreaming is allowed as FANTASTIC MOON won the Prix Niel, Gr.2, the trial for the 3yo colts quite impressivley  against a classy field especially the 2nd, the Grand Prix de Paris, Gr.1 winner FEED THE FLAME and further down the field, the Poule d'Essai des Poulains, Gr.1 winner MARHABA YA SANAFI and Italian Derby, Gr.2 winner GOLDENAS. Owned by Liberty Racing, trained by Sarah Steinberg and ridden by Rene Piechulek he became the 1st German horse to win this race. Born, raised and prepped at SCHLOSSGUT ITLINGEN, he was consigned and sold by STAUFFENBERG BLOODSTOCK at the BBAG Yearling Sales. 

FRANGIPANI, the dam of FANTASTIC MOON has yearling filly named FIRE AND ICE by Epsom Derbywinner MASAR heading to the Goffs Orby Sales and is carrying a foal to an other one in SEA THE STARS, the sire of SEA THE MOON
