23/07/23 2yo Kumite the next Blacktype Performer from the 2021 crop

The 2yo KUMITE by DARK ANGEL finished 3rd in the Criterium du Bequet, L. in France, having won twice already. After SOPRANO having finished third in the Albany Stakes, Gr.3 at Royal Ascot KUMITE is the second Stakesperformer from the 2021 crop pinhooked as foals by STAUFFENBERG BLOODSTOCK. A Stakesperformer in waiting from that crop is FLORA OF BERMUDA, who has several Stakes entries, having finished 6th in the Queen Mary Stakes, Gr.2.

KUMITE was purchased by STAUFFENBERG BLOODSTOCK at the Tattersalls December Foal Sales, raised and prepped at SCHLOSSGUT ITLINGEN before being sold to Paul Harley Bloodstock on behalf of Erika Gilliar at the Arqana August Yearling Sales. He is in training with Jerome Reynier and was ridden by Antonio Orani.
