15/08/21 a successful start in the yearling sales season for Stauffenberg Bloodstock
a first foray as consignor to Arqana pays off
STAUFFENBERG BLOODSTOCK has prepped yearlings in the past at SCHLOSSGUT ITLINGEN for the Arqana August Sale, but always used other consignors to sell the yearlings. This year STAUFFENBERG BLOODSTOCK not only prepped them, but consigned for the first time at the leading french yearling sale. Finally 2 yearlings were sent over the french border and both sold for €250.000 each.
First in the ring was a pinhooked colt by NIGHT OF THUNDER who sold to the Chantilly based trainer Hiro Shimuzu on behalf of one of his Japanese clients. He was purchased by STAUFFENBERG BLOODSTOCK at the Tattersalls December Foal Sales, raised and prepped at SCHLOSSGUT ITLINGEN and the only successful pinhook on the quite difficult first day of the European Yearling Sales Season.
The second colt was a colt by SEA THE MOON, prepped at SCHLOSSGUT ITLINGEN on behalf of his breeders Gestüt Görlsdorf and sold to the trainer Henri Devin, who was acting for one of his clients.
Both colts were by far the highest prized yearlings by their respective sires
