08/05/20 Wonderful Moon impresses in the Cologne Classics, Gr.3

WONDERFUL MOON by SEA THE MOON impressed at his first start in 2020 when winning the Gr.3 Cologne Classic at Cologne, one of the main trials for the German Derby. Already a Gr.3 winner at 2 last year, the colt bred by Gestut Gorlsdorf was prepped at SCHLOSSGUT ITLINGEN for the BBAG Yearling Sales where he was consigned and sold by STAUFFENBERG BLOODSTOCK to his current connections. Owned by Stall Wasserfreunde, trained by Henk Grewe and ridden by Andrasch Starke WONDERFUL MOON remains an exciting colt for this year and is the current favourite for the German Derby. 

The last horse prepped and sold by STAUFFENBERG BLOODSTOCK to win the German Derby was LUCKY SPEED, who was also sold at the BBAG Yearling Sales and won the most prestigious race for 3yo's in 2013.
