02/06/19 3yo Red Desert, racing in the UK as Catan won at Sha Tin

The 3yo RED DESERT (Oasis Dream-CAPICHERA), racing in England as CATAN won at Sha Tin in Hongkong for The Hon Ronald Arculi, trainer John Size and ridden by Joao Moreira. Bred by Graf and Grafin Stauffenberg RED DESERT was sold at the Tattersalls December Foal Sales and won 2 races at 2 years in England before being privately sold to his current connections. He is the first foal out of the 3yo winner CAPICHERA, who was bred by Marion and Philipp out of their German Oaks winner CENTAINE.

CAPICHERA has a 2yo filly CASSANDRA, which was sold by STAUFFENBERG BLOODSTOCK at the Tattersalls October Yearling Sales to Anthony Stroud, acting for Godolphin and is in training with John Gosden. This years yearling is a filly by GLENEAGLES and CAPICHERA is in foal to SAXON WARRIOR.
