... Jedhi wins again at Nottingham
ZAHARA (Nayef-ZEGNA) followed in the footsteps of her mother ZEGNA winning the Norsk Oaks in the colours of Mr Ascot. Bred by Graf and Grafin Stauffenberg at their SCHLOSSGUT ITLINGEN, ZAHARA won her 3rd race and was always held in high regards by her trainer Wido Neuroth, but was one of the horses suffering from a bad virus in his yard.
ZAHARA is the first foal out of
ZEGNA by
SHIROCCO and was sold to her owner at the BBAG Yearling Sales in 2016.
ZEGNA herself is the last daughter of
ZEPHYRINE, which was bought as yearling by
STAUFFENBERG BLOODSTOCK at the Tattersalls Houghton Sales back in 1995 and became one of the foundation mares for Marion and Philipp. However
ZEGNA was sold to Mr Ascot at the BBAG Yearling Sales as well and been bought back as a broodmare by her breeders.
ZEGNA has a yearling colt named
ZACHARY which was sold earlier this week at the Tattersalls October Yearling Sales to Mags O'Toole and is going into training with Charles O'Brien in Ireland.
ZEGNA has a filly foal by
MASTERCRAFTSMAN, named
ZERAPHINE and is in foal to the french dual classic winner
BRAMETOT
On the same day
JEDHI by
BIG BAD BOB won her second race at Nottingham for owner Tony Pickford and his partners, trainer Hughie Morrison and jockey Jason Watson.
JEDHI was prepped and sold by
STAUFFENBERG BLOODSTOCK in the same draft as
ZAHARA through Stroud Coleman Bloodstock and looks an exciting prospect for the future as well
