STAUFFENBERG BLOODSTOCK consigned 5 yearlings in Book I of the Tattersalls October Yearling Sales and 4 of them sold with an average of GNS117,500 and a median of GNS120,000. This was by far the worst Book I Sale for the consignor and confirms the danger and bias in the current market place and especially in Book I if not all required criteria are fulfilled. 

However all yearlings are heading to top trainers and can hopefully proof their quality on the racecourse. Lot 13, the filly by GOLDEN HORN ex NINA CELEBRE was purchased by the Australian Sun Bloodstock and is heading to Joseph O'Brien in Ireland. Lot 26, a colt by KINGMAN out of PEINTURE ABSTRAITE did not reach the reserve set by his owner, so went for Ballymore Thoroughbreds to Andre Fabre in France. Lot 77, a colt by SEA THE STARS ex ROSENREIHE was purchased by Jamie McCalmont and Philippa Mains on behalf of American Jon Kelly and is going to Jessica Harrington, whereas Lot 234, a colt by CHARM SPIRIT ex AQUARELLISTE, purchased by Stroud Coleman Bloodstock on behalf of Godolphin is pencilled for Simon Crisford and Lot 367, Favorite Moon by SEA THE MOON ex FAVORITE was purchased by William Haggas for an undisclosed client and had the shortest ways to their new homes within Newmarket.
