The first foal at SCHLOSSGUT ITLINGEN in 2017 was born just before midnight on the 1st of February. It is a colt by LORD OF ENGLAND out of the Norse Oaks winner ZEGNA. The bay colt by the sire of last years German Derby winner ISFAHAN is the third foal for the mare by SHIROCCO, who was bred by Graf und Grafin Stauffenberg as well. ZEGNA has a 2yo filly ZAHARA by NAYEF with Fredrik Reuterskjold and a yearling colt by CASAMENTO, which was bought by John Ferguson Bloodstock at the Tattersalls December Foal Sales. ZEGNA is booked to MASTERCRAFTSMAN in 2017.

ZEGNA is the second classic winner out of ZEPHYRINE who is also the dam of ZENATO winner of the Sventsk Derby beside other classics in Scandinavia.
