15/05/16 LA BOHEME wins her Maiden at Santa Anita

LA BOHEME (Montjeu-LA REINE NOIR) won her Maiden at Santa Anita Park over a mile on Turf. Owned by Jon Kelly and Fred Seitz, the filly is trained by Richard Mandella and was ridden by Flavien Prat. LA BOHEME is the first winner out of LA REINE NOIR, a sister to Gr.1 winner LADY MARIAN and Gr.3 winner LUCIDOR and from the family of LOMITAS and LAVIRCO among other top performers. Bred by Graf und Grafin Stauffenberg at their SCHLOSSGUT ITLINGEN, LA BOHEME was consigned and sold by STAUFFENBERG BLOODSTOCK at the BBAG Yearling Sales to Brookdale Farms as agent. LA BOHEME has a yearling colt and foal by MAXIOS at SCHLOSSGUT ITLINGEN. The yearling named LENNOX will be offered at one of the yearling sales in Europe later in the year. This year LA REINE NOIR was covered by LORD OF ENGLAND, who is from the same family, as his 3rd dam LOVE IN is the 4th dam of LA REINE NOIR.
