17/03/12 LAVA LAMP wins with 6 length at Ffos las

LAVA LAMP (Shamardal-La Felicita) won first time out in 2012 with 6 length over hurdles at Ffos Las. This was his fourth win overall - he had won two on the flat at 3 years. LAVA LAMP is bred by Graf und Grafin Stauffenberg at their SCHLOSSGUT ITLINGEN and was sold by STAUFFENBERG BLOODSTOCK at the Tattersalls December Foal Sales.

LAVA LAMP is a brother to the Gr.1 winner LADY MARIAN and Gr.3 winner LUCIDOR. He has a 3yo brother LYCIDAS by ZAMINDAR, who is aiming for higher targets on the flat in 2012, having won at 2 years in 2011. If he is able to follow the footsteps of LUCIDOR or even LADY MARIAN will be seen middle of April, when he has started in the Dr. Busch-Memorial, Gr.3 at Krefeld. LYCIDAS has entries for the Irish 2000 Guineas, Gr.1 at the Curragh and the Prix du Jockey Club, Gr.1 at Chantilly.
