15/08 LAVA LAMP wins the second in a row

his yearling brother LYCIDAS is in the catalogue of the BBAG Yearling Sale

3yo LAVA LAMP (Shamardal-La Felicita) won his second race in a row and already stepped up in class, this looked even more promising. The Racing Post believes there is more to come from the 3yo as well and commented:

Held up at the back here, the winner´s rider stuck to the inside and came round the home bend like a greyhound before outstaying the runner-up in the final furlong. He looks the sort who will make a decent performer given a severe test of stamina, and might make a Cesarewitch horse next season.

LAVA LAMP is bred by Graf and Grafin Stauffenberg at their SCHLOSSGUT ITLINGEN and was sold by STAUFFENBERG BLOODSTOCK at the Tattersalls December Foal Sales. He is owned by an Englishman, Irishman & Scotsman, trained by G Harker and was ridden by S de Sousa. LAVA LAMP´s victory became the 50th in England by a horse bred by Graf and Grafin Stauffenberg.

LYCIDAS by ZAMINDAR, a yearling brother to LAVA LAMP will be consigned by STAUFFENBERG BLOODSTOCK at the BBAG Yearling Sale on 4th September. This colt is an own brother in blood to Gr.3 winner LUCIDOR and a brother to the high class Gr.1 winner LADY MARIAN.
