RANSOM O´WAR SIRES TOP COLT

Today's EBN writes:

Nicolas Clement was unperturbed by investing in a littleknown stallion when going to €115,000 to secure one of Ransom O’War’s second crop sons, Lot 465. “It doesn’t bother me that he’s not a fashionable stallion. I bought Vespone, by Lando who was not very well-known and he turned out well.” Ransom O’War is a son of Red Ransom who won the Gr.1 Bayerishches Zuchtrennen and finished second in the German Derby. His yearling son, from the Haras de Grandcamp, is from a classy German family as he is the second produce of Acatenango mare Anna of Russia, a half-sister to German Champion three-year-old filly Anna Monda. Anna of Russia has already given birth to one winner. His fourth dam Anna Paola was also a German Champion at two and three. Clement knows the family as he trained Pozarica, who is the half-sister to this colt’s second dam, to lift the Gr.2 Prix Hubert de Chaudenay. The handler could not disclose the owne´ name but added, “He’s a handsome colt and my favourite of today.”

Schlossut Itlingen offers three yearlings by RANSOM O'WAR at the BBAG Yearling Sales for Capricorn Stud SA, the breeder of the above colt. This are Lot 77, Lot 156, Lot 304 out of very good female lines.
