Jacques Cousteau, the french explorer, filmmaker, author and then man who changed our view of the ocean is the namesake of COUSTEAU (Holy Roman Emperor-C'est L'amour) who won on the day of his death his 6th race at Bro Park in Sweden. Bred by GRAF UND GRĂ„FIN STAUFFENBERG, born and raised at SCHLOSSGUT ITLINGEN, he was prepped for the Tattersalls October Yearling Sales where he was consigned and sold by STAUFFENBERG BLOODSTOCK to Walter Buick. COUSTEAU is owned and trained by Patrick Wahl and was ridden by Giulia Pellegrini.
His sister, the multiple winner CLEMENTINE by HELMET is the last daughter in the broodmare band of GRAF UND GRĂ„FIN STAUFFENBERG tracing back to German Oaks winner CENTAINE.
