17/10/18 Stauffenberg Bloodstock is one of the leading consignors at the Tattersalls October Yearling Sales again ...

... a very good Book II makes up for a low Book I

Even after the withdrawal of Lot 604 - propably one of the highlights of the whole Book II - the sister by AUSTRALIA to the exciting 2yo PERSIAN KING, the convincing winner of the Autumn Stakes, Gr.3 on Saturday at Newmarket, the remaining 9 lots were the biggest draft of STAUFFENBERG BLOODSTOCK at Book II so far. And they sold not only for an higher Average of the consignor in Book I, but the GNS152,444 were the highest of Book II for consignors selling 9 lots or more and the total of GNS1,372,000 meant that STAUFFENBERG BLOODSTOCK was in the top 10 again. STAUFFENBERG BLOODSTOCK is proud to have consigned two of the Top 10 Lots. Lot 1217, a colt by KINGMAN ex LEGENDE BLEUE was one of the Top 5 colts selling to Stephen Hillen and Henri Devin on behalf of Sheikh Mohammed Obaid al Maktoum and Lot 989, a filly by DANSILI ex CAPICHERA was one of the Top 3 fillies selling to Anthony Stroud on behalf of Godolphin. The others selling for prizes higher than the average of the whole sale were Lot 821, a colt by CAMACHO ex VERERI SENES, which was one of the best pinhooks of the total sale as well, when selling to Angus Gold on behalf of Shadwell Stud, Lot 772, a filly by CHARM SPIRIT ex SWORDHALF sold to the Australian Emirates Park Stud and going straight to Australia is Lot 1100, a colt by SEA THE MOON ex FRAU ANNA, selling to Spicer Thoroughbreds Pty/Bahen Bloodstock.
