GRAF UND GRÄFIN STAUFFENBERG are delighted to have been able to purchase FANG MICH (2021, by STARSPANGLEDBANNER out of FRANGIPANI) at the Arqana February Sale through STAUFFENBERG BLOODSTOCK. Originally bred by them, this filly was sold privately as a yearling to Ecki Sauren and won at three in his colors. When she was offered again at the Arqana February Sale, her breeders traveled there specifically to bring the sister of their Derby winner FANTASTIC MOON back home to SCHLOSSGUT ITLINGEN, where she was born and raised.

For them, it was not only a heartfelt matter to bring FANG MICH back as a representative of their highly successful female line tracing back to their foundation mare FRAULEIN TOBIN; as the sister of a multiple Group 1 winner, she will also enrich their small but select breeding operation. She will be given her first major opportunity to proof this, as she is booked to one of the best available sires in SEA THE STARS, who is not only the sire of SEA THE MOON—the sire of FANTASTIC MOON—but also the sire of the last foal out of FRANGIPANI, which Juddmonte purchased last year.
