Proven Track Record
As A Stud Farm since 1954

Schloss Itlingen, located in North Rhine-Westphalia, dates back to the 14th century and was originally owned by the von Herbern family. In 1540, it passed to the von Nagel family through marriage, who have retained ownership of the castle and the surrounding property ever since. Around 1680, Ferdinand von Nagel had the current manor house built, and in the 18th century, it was remodeled in the Baroque Style by architect Johann Conrad Schlaun.

The legacy of Gestüt Quenhorn

In 1954, Carl Fastenrath established Gestüt Quenhorn at Schlossgut Itlingen, laying the foundation for a legacy of excellence. Top winners bred and raised at Quenhorn include Arjon, Britannia, Indica, Limbo, Lady Arc, Prairie Neba, Tarim, Zank, Zahroff, and Ziethen.

A New Era with
Graf und Gräfin Stauffenberg
