12/12/15 2yo GWENDOLYN wins her Maiden with 6 length
now 4 winners from 5 runners from the 2014 crop in GB/IRE
The 2yo filly GOLDEN WHIP) won her Maiden with 6 length, something neither her dam GENEVRA were ablte to, but became multiple stakes winners at 3. In spring her former trainer Roger Varian described her at his filly for the Queen Mary at Royal Ascot, but not everything went according to plan. However now her first start for trainer Richard Cowell showed that she really might be up for better targets. GWENDOLYN means that now 4 out of the 5 2yo runners in the UK and Ireland are winners – the others being ROCKAWAY VALLEY and CALLAGHAN who narrowly failed to win at Kempton last time out.GOLDEN WHIP, the best offspring Graf und Grafin Stauffenberg bred out of GENEVRA, which they purchased back in 1995 at the Goffs Challenge Sale as one of their first yearlings.
