The team of STAUFFENBERG BLOODSTOCK had 3 yearlings prepared for the Tattersalls October Sales Book I, what is now regarded as the world´s leading yearling sale. All three of them were pinhooked as foals and all returned a healthy profit to the members of the syndicate. Lot 189 a colt by TEOFILO out of MAYONGA sold for GNS105.000 to Blandford Bloodstock, who acted on behalf of trainer George Baker. The last yearling of the consignment was Lot 657 a colt by MAXIOS out of FIREDANCE, who was sold to Roger Varian, who bought him for Sheikh Ahmed al Maktoum. Lot 726 a colt by HARBOUR WATCH out of HOLY SALT was sold to Abbey Farm and the last Lot 906 a colt by CACIQUE out of NOTRE DAME went again to Blandford Bloodstock, acting this time for trainer David Simcock. An Average of GNS80.000 provided STAUFFENBERG BLOODSTOCK again a top 15 position amongst the consignors who sold 4 or more yearlings.
